Arrive in Winnipeg 

Winnipeg

Arrive in Winnipeg where you will enjoy a relaxing stay at our choice hotel, The Grand by Lakeview at Winnipeg Airport (no transfer required). You will have a winter gear fitting during the evening, followed by an orientation dinner with the rest of your group hosted by a Churchill Wild representative.

Churchill – Seal River Heritage Lodge

Meet your adventure specialist the next morning and head to the airport for your flight from Winnipeg to Churchill. You will arrive in Churchill and transfer to Seal River Heritage Lodge via plane, and enjoy lunch and orientation before appetizers and dinner. 

Seal River Heritage Lodge

Head out, cameras in hand, in search of Arctic wildlife! Each morning the guides will outline the plan for the day’s excursion, tailored specifically to you and the current wildlife activity. The safari is designed for dedicated wildlife photographers seeking close-up encounters with animals set against breathtaking backdrops of sea and snow.

After completing your days exploring, enjoy drinks and appetizers outside by the river, offering the perfect vantage point to watch the sun set. Following dinner, attend an optional presentation led by one of the specialist guides offering deeper insight into the region’s remarkable wildlife. We encourage ending your days with a possible show of Northern Lights. The staff monitor the sky throughout the night, and should the aurora make an appearance, guests will be gently woken to witness this spectacular natural phenomenon.

Churchill

After breakfast at the lodge, transfer back to Churchill to meet your local guide for a day of exploration. Gain insights into Churchill’s unique history as a northern seaport and former military base, including visits to the Parks Canada Interpretive Centre, the Itsanitaq Museum, and the Polar Bear Holding Facility, often referred to as the “Polar Bear Jail.” In the afternoon there will be free time to shop for souvenirs at some of Churchill’s distinctive local gift stores.

Overnight in Winnipeg at The Grand Hotel before walking to the airport, right across the street, for your departure back home.
