Luxury European Tours
& Private Travel Design

Europe is not a destination, it’s a hundred destinations layered on top of each other, each one shaped by centuries of culture, cuisine, landscape, and history. The question is never whether Europe is worth visiting. It’s which Europe is yours.

At G/Hardy, we design private European journeys from scratch. No group departures, no fixed itineraries, no compromises. Every trip begins with a conversation about what you want, and ends with something no travel website could have assembled for you.

Just for you

Europe's diversity is its greatest gift to the traveller. Ancient ruins and Michelin-starred restaurants. Alpine wilderness and sun-soaked coastlines. Medieval villages and world-class cities. Whatever draws you to Europe, we'll design a journey that goes far deeper than the surface.

Private Travel, Built Around You

The itineraries you’ll find on this site exist to inspire, not to sell you a pre-packaged trip. They show you the pace, the calibre of experience, and the kind of access a well-connected travel designer can arrange. Every client we work with gets something different — because every client is different.

Want to spend three weeks moving slowly through southern Italy with a private chef and a villa on the Amalfi Coast?

We’ll build that. Prefer a fast-paced cultural sweep through Paris, Vienna, and Prague with private museum access and Michelin-starred dinners every night? We’ll build that too. The destination is yours. The details are ours.

Or, Explore Europe Your Way

Beyond the itinerary, these are the experiences that define a luxury European journey.

Each one fully private, fully customizable.

Culinary & Wine

Private market visits, cooking classes with local chefs, cellar door tastings in Burgundy or Tuscany, and Michelin-starred reservations secured well in advance. Europe’s food and wine culture is best experienced slowly and with the right introductions.

Cultural Immersion

Private museum access, expert historians, art tours, opera houses, and experiences well beyond what’s available to the general public. We design journeys that reveal Europe’s layers — not just its landmarks.

Golf

Scotland’s legendary links, Ireland’s coastal courses, Portugal’s Algarve, and the fairways of Tuscany. We design dedicated golf itineraries with tee times, accommodations, and logistics handled end to end.

Active & Adventure

Cycling Provence, hiking the Dolomites, sailing the Greek islands, skiing the Swiss Alps. Europe’s landscapes reward the traveller who wants to move through them, not just look at them.

Who Designs Your European Experience

Every European itinerary at G/Hardy Tours is designed by a senior travel professional who understands both the romance of the destination and the complexity of private travel. From first conversation to final details, your journey is shaped by experience, continuity, and care.

Vice President, Product Development & Luxury Experiences

Kathleen leads the design of G/Hardy’s luxury itineraries, translating destination knowledge into journeys that feel thoughtful, balanced, and deeply personal. With a background in history and storytelling, she brings Greece to life through carefully paced experiences—private archaeological visits, island sequences that flow naturally, and moments of beauty that feel unforced. Her approach blends cultural depth with effortless comfort, creating journeys that linger long after the trip ends.

Best Countries to Combine in Europe

Ancient history, extraordinary food, and a coastline that rewards slow travel.

From the cultural weight of Paris to the sun and wine of the south.

Islands, antiquity, and the Aegean — a natural complement to almost any European journey.

Best Time to Visit Europe

Europe travels well year-round, with each season offering something distinct. Spring and early summer bring ideal conditions across most of the continent — mild weather, manageable crowds, and everything in bloom. July and August are peak season in southern Europe; September and October are among the finest months for France, Italy, and Greece. Winter reveals a quieter, more local Europe: Christmas markets in Germany and Austria, skiing in Switzerland, and the museums of Paris without the queues.

What Makes G/Hardy Different

At G/Hardy, we blend deep regional expertise with a commitment to white-glove service.

Our relationships across Europe — with the guides, properties, and operators that don’t appear on booking platforms — mean your journey is built on access that takes decades to earn.

For over 30 years, we’ve designed transformative travel experiences that honour both cultural legacy and client luxury. From private villas to exclusive archaeological access, we orchestrate every detail so you can simply arrive and immerse.

Luxury European Travel FAQs

Do I have to follow one of your sample itineraries?

Not at all. The itineraries on this site are starting points, not packages. Most clients use them as inspiration and then reshape the journey entirely around their own interests, pace, and schedule. We design every trip from scratch.

Can you combine multiple European countries in one trip?

Absolutely. Many of our clients design multi-country itineraries — Paris to the Amalfi Coast, Scotland to Iceland, a grand tour through France, Switzerland, and Italy. We’ll help you find the right pacing so the journey feels seamless rather than rushed.

How far in advance should I plan a luxury European trip?

For peak summer travel, we recommend starting conversations six to nine months out. The best properties, private guides, and exclusive experiences book early regardless of season.

What does a private luxury European tour cost?

It depends entirely on destination, duration, and the level of experience you want. We’ll give you a clear picture during your first conversation — no vague estimates, no surprises.

What makes G/Hardy different from booking online?

Access, relationships, and experience. We’ve spent decades building connections with properties, guides, and operators that don’t show up on booking platforms. When something needs to be solved mid-trip, you have us — not a call centre.
