Andalusia Itinerary: Córdoba, Granada, Seville & Málaga

Andalusia is best experienced slowly.

Instead of moving from hotel to hotel, this journey is built around a single elegant base: the Monastery of San Francisco — a beautifully restored 15th-century Franciscan monastery turned intimate luxury retreat, perfectly positioned between Córdoba and Seville.

From here, you explore four of Andalusia’s great cities with a private driver and expert local guides, always returning to the same tranquil retreat at the end of the day. No packing and unpacking. No logistics to manage. Just Andalusia, done properly.

What’s Included

We design unforgettable and luxurious journeys just for you. Our bespoke trips include:

Monastery of San Francisco Hotel

This former 15th-century Franciscan monastery has been carefully restored into an exclusive retreat that blends historic character with contemporary comfort. Quiet courtyards, arched stone corridors, and candlelit evenings in the heart of Andalusia.

Strategically located between Córdoba and Seville, it serves as the perfect base for the entire journey — and a genuinely beautiful place to do nothing at all.

Arrive in Spain

Córdoba: Arrival & City Discovery

Your journey begins with a train from Madrid to Córdoba, where your private driver will be waiting. With a vehicle at your disposal for 8 hours, a private guide leads you through a city where Roman, Islamic, and Christian heritage coexist in extraordinary harmony.

  • Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba — a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the great monuments of Western Islamic art
  • Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs — royal gardens, Arab baths, and centuries of history
  • Medieval Synagogue & La Judería — one of Spain’s three best-preserved medieval synagogues, in the heart of the Jewish Quarter

Granada: The Alhambra

Your private driver takes you to Granada — the last Moorish city to fall to the Catholic Monarchs in 1492. The Alhambra awaits: a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most extraordinary monumental complexes in the world. Nasrid Palaces, Generalife Gardens, the Alcazaba fortress. Return to the monastery in the afternoon.

  • Private guided Alhambra visit — skip the queues, explore at your own pace
  • The Albaicín quarter — whitewashed Moorish streets with views back across to the palace
  • Private vehicle all day — 8 hours at disposal

Seville: Art, History & Andalusian Essence

Seville — the capital of Andalucía and one of Europe’s most beautiful cities. Grand palaces, hidden patios, orange blossoms, and centuries of tradition. Your private guide ensures you move at your own pace, never in a queue.

  • Seville Cathedral & La Giralda — the world’s largest Gothic cathedral and its iconic bell tower, a former Moorish minaret
  • Royal Alcázar of Seville — a stunning working royal palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Santa Cruz quarter — the old Jewish neighbourhood, full of narrow lanes and flowering courtyards

Málaga: Art & Mediterranean Spirit

One of Europe’s oldest cities and the birthplace of Picasso, Málaga offers culture, coast, and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. Your private driver takes you south to the Costa del Sol.

  • Picasso Museum Málaga — an important permanent collection tracing the artist’s full evolution
  • Historic city centre — the Alcazaba, the Roman Theatre, elegant Calle Larios
  • Free time — stroll the seafront, lunch at a waterfront restaurant, or simply enjoy the sun

The Monastery: Rest, Stay & Slow Luxury

Three days with no agenda. The monastery and its surroundings invite a different kind of travel — read in a courtyard, walk through olive groves, sit with a glass of wine and nothing pressing to do.

Optional experiences are available to add depth to these days (not included in base price — see below).
