Itinerary

Arrive in Catania

Taormina Coast

Known for its towering cliffs and gorgeous beaches along the Ionian Sea, the Taormina coast is the perfect destination to begin your tour of Sicily. Arrive in Giardini Naxo, and the following day hop in a private 4×4 Jeep ride to Mount Etna. Visit the last lava eruptions, the Sartorius craters, and complete your adventure at one of the most famous wine cellars on Mount Etna, Gabino Vini, where you can enjoy a wine tasting and lunch. The next day, transfer to the charming hilltop village of Castelmola for free time before continuing to Taormina. Explore the town and splendid landscape before partaking in a hands-on pizza cooking class! 

On your final day travel to Ragusa Ibla for a guided walking tour through winding cobblestone streets, ornate churches, and dramatic staircases. Then transfer to Scicli, known for its UNESCO-listed Baroque architecture, made up of warm, golden stone buildings with cinematic charm. Enjoy lunch and a walk tour of the town before heading back to Giardini Naxo.

Province of Agrigento

Spend a day exploring the Province of Agrigento, with stops in Siracusa, The Island of Ortigia, and Noto. Start with a walking tour and leisure time in Siracusa followed by a boat trip to Ortigia. Enjoy the streets filled with rich Greek and Roman history and the legendary Ear of Dionysius. Following lunch, transfer to Noto, a unique UNESCO World Heritage Site town known for its Sicilian Baroque style of architecture.

Palermo

Depart from Agrigento to visit The Valley of the Temples, the best-preserved Greek temple complex in the world! Tour the ancient temples, including the Temple of Concordia. Continue the journey to the Roman Villa del Casale, an ancient hunting lodge known for its mosaics and over 50 rooms. Complete the day by arriving in Palermo, and the next morning explore the unique electricity of the city’s energy. Depart on a gastronomical walking tour to visit the most important sites and street food, and take some time to get your bargaining on in the extensive markets!

Take a day trip to Marsala, stopping first at Cantine Pellegrino for a special tour, lunch, and wine tasting. After lunch, transfer to Marsala for a guided walking tour and free time in this serene coastal town. Following Marsala, return to Palermo via the ‘Salt Route’, where participants may stop and see the iconic windmills and salt pans where salt is still extracted from the sea as the Phoenicians once did.

Aci Trezza

On your way to Aci Trezza, stop at the magnificent town of Cefalù. Admire narrow streets, the Roman washhouse, Arab-Norman Cathedral, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Cefalù Cathedral. After lunch, arrive in Aci Trezza and enjoy the rest of your day exploring at your leisure. On the final day of your Sicilian escape, discover the town of Catania. Stroll through the city centre, learning about the history and stopping at one of the largest fish markets in Italy, “A Piscaria”, as old as the city itself. Enjoy personal time for shopping before heading back and transferring to the Catania airport the following morning.
