Marco Simone hosted the 2023 Ryder Cup, offering a challenging course with beautiful surrounding views. Olgiata Golf Club is set in a tranquil, wooded area, featuring an 18-hole championship course renowned for its beauty and history. Following a day on the greens, enjoy an evening at leisure soaking up the timeless, romantic beauty of your first stop in Italy.

Suggested Accommodation: Rome cavalieri, a waldorf astoria hotel

Nestled amongst 15 acres of lush Mediterranean gardens, Rome Cavalieri offers guests an unparalleled luxury experience. Providing incredible views over the Eternal City, this five-star hotel blends classic elegance with a modern touch. Located a short drive from the city center and home to a world-class spa, outstanding suites, top-tier dining options, and one of the most impressive art collections in Italy, Rome Cavalieri is a perfect retreat in the heart of Rome.

Umbria

Play a morning round at Marco Simone or Olgiata before transferring to Umbria, an Italian region bordering Tuscany, Lazio, and Le Marche. Referred to by many as the country’s green heart, Umbria is renowned for its medieval hill towns, dense forests, and local cuisine – specifically its foraged truffles and wine.

Play a round at Antognolla Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course in a castle estate, combining historical charm with modern amenities. After your round, transfer to Borgo Brufa Spa Resort. Enjoy the spa amenities or experience the beauty of Umbria, a place best known for soaking in the Italian experience.

Suggested Accommodation: Borgo brufa resort & spa

Borgo Brufa Spa Resort offers a luxurious escape with outstanding panoramic views. In a nature-filled setting, visitors can reach peak relaxation as the Borgo Bruffa Spa (alongside the fabulous resort) is the perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate, offering an array of wellness treatments.

Tuscany

On route to Castiglion del Bosco, stop at Bagno Vignoni. A charming and enchanting hot spring, Bagno Vignoni is a unique part of Italy where a main central square pool is filled with hot spring water, 49 meters long and 29 meters wide.

Play an 18-hole round at The Club Castiglion del Bosco, a Tuscan masterpiece that blends into the estates’ rolling hills and valleys. Stay overnight at the resort, where we highly recommend a wine tasting and a visit at one of the top Italian Castiglion del Bosco wineries.

Suggested Accommodation: The club castiglion del bosco

A Rosewood Hotel located right in the center of Tuscany and set within a 5,000-acre estate, the Castiglion del Bosco offers a truly authentic Italian stay. The resort is home to a private cellar, holding some of Tuscany’s most prestigious wines. Visitors can sip a glass of Brunello di Montalcino while relaxing in the serenity of the Tuscan countryside. With a history dating back to the 12th century, this resort is an elegant, charming, and unforgettable escape into the heart of Tuscany.

Siena & Florence

Transfer to Siena for a half-day guided tour, followed by lunch at a traditional restaurant in Chianti. Siena, located in the heart of Tuscany, is known for its winding and narrow streets, public squares, and well-preserved medieval architecture. Chianti, a beautiful mountainous area in Tuscany is known for its famous wine called (if you had not guessed), Chianti. Spend the night in Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance and home to masterpieces by Michelangelo and Botticelli, amongst many others.

Suggested Accommodation: Bristol helvetia hotel, florence

Spend the night at the Bristol Helvetia Hotel, located in the heart of Florence, which offers a mix of traditional elegance with top-tier modern comfort. The Bristol Helvetia is a magnificent base for exploring the city, as it is just a short walk from landmarks such as the Florence Cathedral, the Ponte Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery. Take your pick of Florence’s wonderful activities: explore world-class museums, savor Tuscan cuisine, or simply walk the streets and enjoy the beauty of this timeless city.

Lake Como

Transfer to Lake Como, a place often referred to as the most beautiful lake in the world. Surrounded by the majestic Bergamo Alps, it truly does not get much better than this. Over the years, Lake Como’s elegant atmosphere has earned a reputation of being a glamorous haven: a cherished destination with true jaw-dropping natural beauty, deep historical significance, and a highly exclusive ambiance.

Play 18 holes at Golf Club Villa D’este, located in Cernobbio near Lake Como. A prestigious 18-hole championship course that was established in the early 210th century, this course is known for its views of the surrounding lake and mountains, as well as its elegance and exclusivity. Stay overnight in Lake Como and spend the evening at leisure, before playing the Castelconturbia Golf Club in the morning. Just 40 minutes from Milan, Castelconturbia Golf is an international course with 27 holes and a layout that challenges even the most seasoned golfers.
