Itinerary

Arrive in Munich

Munich

Start off your trip by experiencing authentic Bavarian lifestyle in Munich while dining at Hofbräuhaus, the most iconic beer hall in Germany. Spend the next day roaming the city centre and exploring Marienplatz, the city’s central square since 1158. If you are an art fan, visit the Alte Pinakothek, one of the oldest galleries in the world featuring works of da Vinci, Rubens, Rembrandt, and more. If searching for more action, tour BMW right where its heart beats, seeing automobile production first-hand and over 100 years of corporate history.

Suggested Accommodation: Platzl Hotel

Sexten

Transfer to the legendary peaks of Sexten Mountain Range. On your journey, consider stopping at the abbey of Abbazia di Novella. Built in the 12th century, the grounds feature a library, chapel, and one of the oldest wineries in the world; cellar tours and tastings are available.

Arrive in Sexten and spend your days embarking on some of the best hikes in the world. Your hotel offers a free guided hiking programme to make planning and coordination effortless. If in need of a break from hiking, consider taking day trips to the many surrounding towns. Travel to the lush town of Cortina if desiring more scenic views, or the medieval town of Lienz. Explore the lovely walled-streets surrounded by the Dolomites, visit Bruck Castle, and enjoy a leisurely kayak along the river.

Suggested Accommodation: Bad Moos Aqua Spa Resort

Corvara in Badia

Move onwards to the largest town in Alta Badia Valley, Corvara. Enjoy the many hikes and walking tours in the area, including the famous peak of Lagazuoi. This was a major point of conflict in WW1 and offers many hiking and climbing possibilities. The “Frontline Trail” is a large and well signposted path that follows the front line between the Italian and Austrian soldiers during World War 1 on Mount Lagazuoi.

Spend one of your days driving over the Gardena pass to Selva di Val Gardena. Ride the Plan de Gralba cable car into the clouds to have lunch at Rifugio Emilio Comici for seafood with a background of stunning mountain views.

Suggested Accommodation: Hotel Marmolada

Venice

After all the hard work from hiking, kick back and relax in the timeless city of Venice. Enjoy a private “behind the scenes” walking tour, learning about the incredible engineering over the centuries required to turn a once marshy lagoon into this stunning island city. Complete the tour by visiting remarkable St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, and see where Casanova was led over the Bridge of Sighs. Spend your final day at your own leisure, but make sure to live like a true Venetian by enjoying a gondola ride through the canals!

Suggested Accommodation: Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal
