Paris

The “City of Lights” is known for its romantic atmosphere, world-class cuisine, and vibrant nightlife. Your private driver will meet you at the airport or train station for transfer to the Hilton Paris Opéra, located in the picturesque 9th arrondissement. The 9th was originally known as the Merchant’s Heart of Paris but has now morphed into a chic residential area with easy access to both the glamour of the 2nd and 11th’s boho vibe. You’ll be spoiled for choice with wine bars on every corner, but our favourite is the haunt of Paris’s wine trade, le Gouttes de Dieu.

There are myriad activities available in Paris, depending on your preference. Enjoy a welcome drink and embark on a food tour to discover local delicacies. Explore the world of fragrance at the Musée du Parfum or learn culinary secrets from a professional chef. Discover Parisian history and art at museums including Musée Rodin, Musée Edith Piaf, and Maison de Victor Hugo. Explore the city on a Vélib tour or guided tour of Montmartre. Admire stunning stained-glass windows in historic churches or venture underground to explore the catacombs and sewers. For a truly unique experience, witness the magic of Parisian lights with a local electrician.

Visit the legendary Caves du Louvre for an unforgettable guided tasting. This hidden gem was constructed in the 18th century on the orders of King Louis XVs sommelier, supplying the palace with wine through a network of underground tunnels.  Discover the secrets of French wine through a sensory and interactive experience in this one-of-a-kind wine cellar.

Trier

Enjoy a private transfer to the heart of Germany’s Mosel wine region, taking the afternoon to explore the Saar sub-region. Visit the Van Volxem winery, whose fragrant, dry Rieslings are produced from highly ripe grapes grown on vines that are at least 30 years old. The finest slate layers help to create a beguiling aromatic cocktail of mirabelle, elderflower and white peach tones.

From here, we proceed to historic Trier. This picturesque city was founded by the Romans and is considered Germany’s oldest city. Explore its key sites on a guided tour, including Porta Nigra, the Amphitheatre, and the famous Imperial Baths, where the Romans went to relax, bearing witness to Trier’s extensive classical heritage. Throughout the year, the streets are alive with live music, performing artists and festivals. Enjoy traditional Trier cuisine at a local restaurant that highlights its combined German, French and Luxembourgish influences, accompanied by some of the region’s exceptional wines.
