Cairo

Begin your journey in Egypt’s capital, with its bustling markets, grand boulevards, and the echoes of pharaohs whispering through historic streets. From the rattle of donkey carts careening down the lanes to the muezzins’ calls to prayer from towering minarets, the sounds of the city are captivating. Here, you’ll discover the majestic Pyramids of Giza, the last remining wonder of the ancient world, which have captivated travellers for millenia with their sheer scale and mystery. Explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, where colossal statues and intricately carved relics set the stage for an unforgettable introduction to Egypt’s past. Admire the citadel’s grand mosques, and wander the Hanging Church’s sacred halls. From its fascinating archaeological sites to its vibrant street life, Cairo is a feast for the senses, revealing new wonders at every turn.

Luxor

Often described as the world’s greatest open-air museum, Luxor is home to some of Egypt’s most inspiring artefacts. Here, ancient temples and tombs paint a picture of the lives of pharaohs and deities. Your journey begins with a visit to Dendera, an oasis on the bank of the Nile and home to one of the best-preserved temple complexes of ancient Egypt. The following morning, board a Nile cruise, from which you’ll visit the magnificent Karnak and Luxor Temples, where towering columns and intricate hieroglyphs showcase the artistic brilliance of the early artisans. Enjoy dinner and overnight aboard, then cross the Nile to explore the West Bank, home to the Valley of the Kings and Queens, where elaborately decorated tombs reveal the secrets of royal burials. Stand in awe before the majestic Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural masterpiece carved into the cliffs. From its grand temples to its sunset panoramas along the Nile, Luxor is a city that brings history to life, offering an unforgettable glimpse into Egypt’s golden age.

Edfu

The cruise continues to Edfu, a captivating destination for history enthusiasts and luxury travelers alike. The massive structure was buried in the sand until it was unearthed by archaeologists less than 200 years ago. Today, adventure travelers arrive by horse and carriage or tuk-tuk to visit this incredible historical site where traditional Egyptian design mingles with Greek influences.

Aswan

With its palm-studded shorelines and endless sunshine, Aswan has been an inviting retreat since ancient times. Here you’ll visit the Unfinished Obelisk, the Philae Temple, and the impressive Aswan High Dam, each telling a unique story of Egypt’s past. In the evening, enjoy a belly dance show on board the ship. The following day, transfer to Abu Simbel, the site of two breathtaking temples carved from the sandstone cliffs on the West Bank of the Nile, built by the Egyptian king Ramses II.

Cairo

Returning to Cairo, take a final tour of Egypt’s ancient treasures with a visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, including VIP access to the Restoration Lab. Here, specialists provide essential care to artefacts including mummies and metal antiquities, ensuring their longevity.
