Honolulu

Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii, offers students a glimpse into the fascinating past of the islands, which dates back over 1,600 years to the arrival of Polynesians from the Marquesas Islands. These seafaring adventurers, guided only by the stars and the urge to explore, helped shape the thriving Polynesian culture that is central to Hawaii’s identity.

Today, the city centers around the stunning Waikiki Beach and its dining, shopping, hotels and exciting city life. Must-see stops include Iolani Palace, the former royal residence, the Bishop Museum, which reveals the state’s history, and the Honolulu Museum of Art, housing masterpieces by renowned artists. Whether exploring its cultural landmarks or enjoying the beauty of its landscapes, Honolulu offers students an outstanding educational experience on the beautiful Hawaiian island of O’ahu.
