Arrive in Lima

Cusco

High in the Peruvian Andes, Cusco is the once capital of the Inca Empire. The Sacred Valley of the Incas

The Sacred Valley of the Incas, also known as Urubamba Valley, is a region of striking natural beauty and profound historical importance. This fertile valley, fed by a network of rivers, is home to some of Peru’s most renowned archaeological sites, including Ollantaytambo, with its impressive Inca ruins, and Tipon, where ancient agricultural terraces and a sophisticated irrigation system still stand.

 

 The vibrant weekly market in Pisac adds a touch of color and local culture, offering a unique glimpse into the traditions that have shaped the valley. Cusco

Return to Cusco and take a train to Machi Picchu Pueblo, experiencing the incredible Valley Views. Carry on to explore Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, believed to be built in by Inca Pachacútec around 1450. Take part in a Piuray Lagoon experience, and enjoy hot drinks, snacks, and a paddle or kayak on the calm waters of the lagoon. 

Lima

Lima, the bustling capital of Peru, is located on the central coast of the country, where the Rimac River meets the Pacific Ocean. Its lively neighborhoods, such as Miraflores and Barranco, are filled with art galleries, trendy cafes, and coastal views, offering a modern energy that contrasts beautifully with its rich history. Explore the Plaza Mayor, home to colonial-era landmarks like the Cathedral of Lima and the Presidential Palace, or visit the ancient ruins of Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Columbian site in the heart of the city.
