Best Time to Visit

South Africa’s Western Cape and Garden Route are blessed with year round bounties. Over the summer months, December through early March, enjoy the best beach weather although a busy holiday period as South Africans flock to the coast. We love April and May as the weather is still glorious and there are fewer visitors. June through August will have cooler and rainier weather, but it is the start of the spectacular whale season. September through November is peak whale season, with generally good weather.

Private transfer takes you to Plettenberg Bay, a beautiful seaside town blessed with long sandy beaches, a shimmering lagoon and views across to the lush, forested mountains. ‘Plett’, as the locals call it, is the perfect holiday town in which to relax and enjoy a wide range of fun outdoor activities. The bay is part of the migratory route for whales, and dolphins are regular visitors, too. Things to do include ocean marine safaris, beach and Robberg peninsula hikes, golf, canoeing up the Keurbooms River, swimming in the warm ocean, and visiting the nearby bird and monkey sanctuaries.
