Itinerary
La Fortuna
Journey to Arenal Springs Resort, where each room is nestled in an exotic garden. On the way there, stop at Poas Volcano, one of the Central Valley’s most spectacular attractions, situated in Poas Volcano National Park. With its beautiful hiking trails and breathtaking viewpoints, we recommend hiking up the volcano, perhaps getting wet if a geyser erupts!
More adventure awaits you at La Fortuna, such as ziplining across the canyon and trekking among the treetops on the Arenal Hanging Bridges with a naturalist. Your local guide can point out any wildlife you may encounter, including: leaf-cutter ants, wild boars, vipers, tarantulas, poisonous dart frogs, toucans, monkeys and sloths. Swim at La Fortuna waterfall and enjoy an energizing homemade coffee from the local café.
On one of the days here, you will explore the majestic Arenal Volcano riding on an ATV, and experience an adrenaline-filled two hours of whitewater rafting along the beautiful Balsa River.
When you are ready to wind down, enjoy the beautiful amenities of Arenal Springs Resort, enjoying the warm pool overlooking the volcano, and delighting in a cold drink and fresh tropical fruit.

Transfer to Hotel El Parador, a resort surrounded by acres of tropical rainforest. Take a leisurely hike with a highly trained Costa Rican naturalist guide through this exotic, bio-diverse rainforest preserved in a national treasure: Manuel Antonio National Park. If you desire, hike further through the trails and enjoy secluded beaches after your educational journey concludes. Later, cruise into the open sea in search of spotted dolphins, migrating humpback whales, sea turtles and manta rays. Anchor in a protected cove within the pristine Biesanz Bay for a snorkelling adventure in warm Pacific waters.
Over the next few days, surf at one of the best surfing beaches in Costa Rica, zipline on the El Santuario Canopy Adventure Tour, or lounge on the beach with a great book.
