Georgia Hardy certainly did. Born in Budapest, Hungary, Georgia lived in Austria and Venezuela before coming to Canada. With an overriding passion for travel, Georgia spent eight years at Butterfield & Robinson, ultimately managing the student travel division. In 1982, Georgia founded Georgia Hardy Tours as a specialty niche travel company servicing schools and educational institutions.
Today, GHT is a family-owned and operated travel company based in Toronto providing travel services to clients across North America.

As a Chartered Accountant with a background in international banking, and a degree in Commerce from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto, George became Managing Director of Georgia Hardy Tours in 1992 when he decided to return to his roots, join the family busines, and induldge his passion for travel.
Since that time, Georgia Hardy Tours has grown to include travel divisions serving educators and school teachers, museums and special interest organizations, luxury travel for culturally inquisitive groups, and bespoke trips for families.

Kathleen joined the family business in 2008 and specializes in itinerary development, location scouting, and client relations. Previously, Kathleen’s professional background includes working on national campaigns for some of Canada’s largest technology clients in the field of Corporate Communications.
With a degree in History and English from Queen’s University, Kathleen is a travel aficionado having lived in England and Switzerland and travelled extensively. She understands the demands of VIP clients and strives to provide the utmost in customer service and luxury-focused itineraries with “special access” and events.
Kathleen is the resident expert at GHT on how to extract the maximum benefit from a location and itinerary with the minimal amount of disruptive travel time and annoyance.
Melina Mancini, Sales Manager
Melina is an avid and experienced traveler with a passion for finding and sharing new and exciting locations. Melina graduated with a double major Honours in Political Science and Italian Language/Culture from The University of Western Ontario (UWO). She was the first student from Western Ontario to study in Siena, Italy on the UWO study abroad program. Following university Melina moved to Madrid where she taught business language English courses to a variety of clients, including the European Commission. She subsequently moved to Scotland where she worked as a recruitment consultant.
Melina has considerable experience in organizing, planning and managing every aspect of GHT tours, with a particular focus on navigating the complexities of the trip approval process at school boards and public institutions. Melina would be very pleased to help organize trips for schools, organizations, or small adult groups.
